We've had a great turnout when we've given this walk earlier in the year and we hope to get as many for the repeat performance!

Hampstead in the twentieth century is well-known as a centre of intellectual life. Music-makers, both composers and performers, also made it their home, and we'll visit some of them in this walk. Mostly classical, but with lighter interludes for Gracie Fields and a fascinatingly crazy house once lived in by Boy George. We'll hear about three important composers, two great performers, our first internationally famous conductor and an arranger who influenced a generation of English music. Qualified Camden tour guides will take you to the places, well-known streets and hidden alleys where they lived.

We will meet at 10.30am at the Hampstead Tube entrance in Hampstead High Street, and finish near Hampstead Heath overground station around 12.30. Hampstead is hilly and the walk may not be suitable for all. Please wear suitable shoes for the odd slippy path!

Tickets are £10 per person - BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
