A part-time guide and very amateur local historian, with family roots in the old borough of Hampstead and Willesden going back to the late 19th Century. Alan qualified as a Camden Tour Guide in 2017 and is a part time lecturer at one of London's oldest former Polytechnics. He guides in many areas of Camden, from Covent Garden and Holborn in the South to Kilburn and West End Green in the West and Kenwood House in the North. He has organised many charity walks for the Mayors of Camden and Brent and raised several thousand pounds for their chosen charities. He gives walks throughout Camden, especially Covent Garden, St Giles, the Inns of Court, Camden Town, Kings Cross and St Pancras 'the Knowledge Quarter', West Hampstead and Kilburn and on transport.
